Apprenticeship Ambassadors

Promoting the construction craft in new ways.

After seeing significant success using apprentices at outreach events, the Ohio Laborers Apprenticeship Program is intent on creating an apprenticeship ambassador program to encourage and reward laborer apprentices for promoting the union construction industry and laborer career path. The ambassador program would schedule and incentivize apprentices to volunteer as ambassadors in schools, career fairs, and other events.

Apprentices ambassadors are strong marketing tools can that inspire youth and young adults to consider career paths in the union construction industry; students and adults show greater interest when they can connect with an individual in a position they are considering. The ambassador program would help organize willing participants onto a database and provide apprenticeship gear (sweatshirts, hats, etc.) and gas compensation.

If your company has an individual in mind that would be a quality laborer apprentice ambassador, or if you would like to be on our contractor contact list, please let us know. We are always looking for apprentices to join us for events and share their story with the public.

Please email melissae@oltc.org to add your company to our apprenticeship ambassador contact list.
