Ohio’s top-notch construction training facility
For a minimum of four weeks each year (or 144 classroom hours), your apprentices will be spending time at the Drexel J. Thrash Training Center and at the local union offices, where they’ll develop skills for their construction career. These classes will guarantee success in their apprenticeship and help them climb the career ladder. The classes are also state requirements for completing their apprenticeship so it is vital to encourage class attendance.
At over 66,000 square feet, the Drexel J. Thrash Training Center, located in Howard, Ohio, contains eight classrooms; an environmental training building that includes a hazardous waste support zone, a 19 station decontamination line and a hazardous waste “mock site;” a 7200 sq. ft. training building for hands-on, gas pipeline and distribution worker classes; and a full-time class schedule from October-May.
