New Programs that are changing the construction workforce
It’s training season! The time of year when apprentices and jouneyworkers have opportunities to learn new skills and capabilities at the Drexel J. Thrash Training Center. We ask you to encourage your laborers to utilize the available courses to increase their greater confidence, skills, knowledge, and efficiency. This training season, we are adding two new courses to the training list: Construction Math III (Pre-Algebra) and Work Zone Technician III. The Drexel J. Thrash Training Center: Sitting on 119 acres of rolling, scenic ground, the Drexel J. Thrash Training Center is a quiet, tranquil place to conduct training sessions. Located near the center of the state of Ohio, the Center is accessible to all LIUNA members in the state. The Center offers a complete training schedule from October through May, with classes offered on an “as needed” basis through the summer. Nearly all training can be performed indoors during inclement weather. Check out their website here.
